Springtime in New York

The last few days, my walks to and from work have been utter perfection because New York City has been enjoying the kind of weather that makes you happy to be alive (think lovely sunlight and the most refreshingly light breezes).   I must confess that I am usually guilty of beelining it from one place to the next, and sometimes it takes this sort of glorious spring weather to make me stop and relish the small moments of beauty that are present around me.

The other day I suddenly noticed that the trees in Manhattan (and some on Roosevelt Island) are budding and blooming.  Whites, pinks, tender greens - such harbingers of spring.  I’ve been stopping frequently to snap iPhone photos of some of my favorite trees.  Here are a few of my recent captures.

  1. I really like the picture layout. Did you know that RI has its own cherry blossom festival?

  2. Thanks! I did know about the RI cherry blossom festival. Maybe this year we can actually go to the festivities.
